An Oklahoma man told federal investigators he forgot a pipe bomb he built for fun was in his luggage when tried to board an airplane, according to court documents released Thursday.
Wow. Must one die to win the Darwin awards? Because if not, this guy would certainly be in the running…

Well, he may not qualify for the Darwin Awards (awwwww….. too bad he didn’t blow himself up as he packed it into his luggage at home, then he WOULD qualify!), but he definitely qualifies for listing on the World’s Dumbest Criminals tally. Not quite as good as the Darwin awards (I mean, after all, he didn’t remove his idiocy from the gene pool), but it’s close.

Hrm.. senario is slightly more serious than losing a wallet. I’m surprised he got to Court – I wonder how long Airport Security had him in questioning!
